| You Call That Music?! |
| The Very Best Of Benny Goodman | Benny Goodman |
| I bought this disc after becoming addicted to A&E's "Nero Wolfe", which uses a lot of big band music. I bought it for the song "Sing, Sing, Sing", but, to my delight,I have discovered that I enjoy almost every track. This is a terrific CD for any admirer of the Swing Era, or as a first listen for someone who's never heard of a big band! | |

Give Me Jesus | Fernando Ortega |
| shameful secret time: I am not a fan of a lot of contemporary Christian music. Fernando Ortega's music, however, has grabbed my heart after listening to just a few songs. Give me Jesus is a lovely collection of five hymns or hymn-like songs. The title track moved me to tears. I find the songs to be very intimate and personal, and very conducive to reflection and meditation. You must listen to this disc if you are Christian and love music. |

Vintage Vallee | Rudy Vallee |
| I have been a Rudy Vallee fan for a few years, and am constantly on a quest to hear more of his songs. I was disappointed, therefore, to find that about half of these songs already appeared on one of my other Rudy Vallee discs. It is vintage, and if you have to have every current Vallee disc, it is an all right listen. For the casual listener, though, or for one who just wants some nostalgia, I would recommend "Heigh-ho, Everybody, This is Rudy Vallee" or "I'm Just a Vagabond Lover". |
