: The thousand island dressing was greatly missed. Although some packaged dressing was obtained halfway through the sandwich, the thousand island was of lower quality and flavor. Also, the sandwich was not served on dark rye--it was a marbled rye with only a 'mild' rye flavor.
Mrs. Beasley's Restaurant & Lounge
: The sandwich had excellent bread and sauerkraut. Flavorful meat but had to ask for Thousand Island dressing. It came with choice of salad, soup or fries. Both the soup and salad tasted great.
Indy's Family Restaurant
: Corned beef seemed a little unusual, but it still tasted okay. The sauerkraut was little bland as well as light and the thousand island dressing (on the side) was a little sweeter than usual. Personally I would have preferred a little stronger corned beef/sauerkraut flavor. Service was excellent, and the restaurant was already prepared for our arrival and the order was rapidly processed for the entire group.
Bourbon Street Distillery
: Sandwich was great. Just the right amount of sauerkraut, tasty corned beef, flavorful Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing. I liked the marbled rye bread too. Unfortunately, I ordered the "hot chips" and found them less than satisfying. The cole slaw ordered by others in the group looked like a much better choice. Nice experience with a fine group of people.
Propylaeum Tea Room
: Definitely needed more sauerkraut and Thousand Island. The turkey was okay but corned beef would be better. The potato salad was a good side. The dining room was exquisite!
