: Dooley's has been in operation in Carmel for at least 15 years. It has a mellow lived in look. It has become more Irish over the years. Service was efficient and quick enough. The sandwich was OK. The meat was dry by itself, but in the sandwich this wasn't noticeable. The kraut was brown. In my experience, brown kraut has been exposed to the air for too long, taste was fine. When I got to the 2nd half of the sandwich, the bottom slice of bread had gotten soggy with kraut juice, a negative in my mind. Lastly the side selection is enormous, I chose cole slaw, it tasted like the kind you get at church dinners that comes in 5 gallon tubs. Overall OK, but there are better choices on the north side.
