Sandwich presentation:
The sandwich was served on grilled marbled rye bread, cut diagonally with a toothpick in each half, presented back to back on a white china plate next to the "chips". There was Swiss cheese lining both the top and bottom slices of rye bread. Atop the Swiss cheese was corned beef folded around the cole slaw.

Reuben Ruminations:

: Reuben had a great taste. Wasn't an original but was very good. It was presented very well, not messy or thrown together. Nice portion. I didn't feel overwhelmed with food, nor was I scared that I would run out of something to eat before I was done eating. I liked the atmosphere, very relaxing. Very good service. I recommend that we do a Reuben Tuesday there again! ()

: This place is gorgeous. There are gas lamps at the entrance, a fire in the fireplace, and stained glass everywhere. It's clean, but I suppose that's to be expected given how new it is. Service was friendly and attentive. The menu says that the sandwich comes with "chips", but then properly adds "(fries)" to the description (technically chips are cut from a whole potato, and these are formed from processed potatoes instead): regardless, they were good, with a nice seasoned flavor. The sandwich was on a nice thick bread, well grilled, but relatively mild in flavor. The beef was good, with a nice texture. I couldn't really taste the cheese. Mostly I tasted the creamy cole slaw. I'm not usually a big fan of cole slaw, but I really liked it on this sandwich. Obviously it's not a true Reuben, but it was very much worth the trip. ()

: I really enjoy the Irish theme of this restaurant. I was especially impressed with the intersting colors and fixtures in the restroom, especialy the sinks. The Reuben was pretty good. The only criticism that I would have is that the ingredients were not balanced within the sandwich. That is, one part had more meat than another. Likewise for the sauerkraut and dressing. This really made very little difference to me. ()

: The Claddagh Irish Pub at the Metropolis shopping center is a beautiful building with nicely appointed decor. The ceiling in the dining room was very high and had exposed wood beams; on this cold day the fireplaces were blazing and the wait staff was cordial. The corned beef on this Reuben was excellent--very rich and delicious. The bread was also high quality, and the cole slaw was tasty. The cole slaw they served on the sandwich was a more than adequate substitute for the traditional Reuben ingredients of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The only negative comment about the sandwich was that the flavor of the cheese was somewhat hard to find. Although they don't market this sandwich as a Reuben, I highly recommend it to any Reuben lover. ()

: I enjoyed the Mary Malloy, which is the same as the traditional Reuben, with the exception of turkey rather than corned beef. Claddagh's served one of the best Reubens I've tasted. The slaw on the sandwhich was very good and the bread remained crisp and intact throughout the entire meal rather than suffering from super sogginess as many Reubens tend to do. Beautiful atmostphere, outstanding service, and great group of co-Reuben-ators! ()
